Wickiup Cabins is a historic cabin property located in Spearfish Canyon along Spearfish Creek. Because the cabins were originally built in the 1930s and the property sits in a natural canyon setting, guests should be aware that the property has uneven terrain and limited accessibility features.
The property includes gravel and natural-surface parking areas, uneven ground, grassy areas, slopes, steps, cabin thresholds, narrow walkways, and creekside areas. Some cabins may require guests to use steps to enter, and cabin layouts vary. Bathrooms, showers, doorways, and sleeping areas may be smaller than modern lodging accommodations.
At this time, Wickiup Cabins should not be considered a fully wheelchair-accessible property. Guests who require step-free access, paved walkways, roll-in showers, grab bars, wide doorways, or other specific accessibility features should contact us before booking so we can discuss the cabin layout and property conditions.
We want every guest to have a comfortable and safe stay, and we are happy to answer questions about specific cabins, parking distance, entry steps, bathroom layouts, and access to common areas before a reservation is made.
Because of the creek, natural terrain, historic structures, and outdoor setting, guests should use caution when walking around the property, especially at night, after rain, or near the water.
